Prior visa is required before actual travel to Bhutan (except those from India, Bangladesh and the Maldives). As part of visa processing, you will be required to pay the Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) of US$100 per day and a non-refundable, one-off visa application fee of US$40 in addition to tour payment.

Child between 6 & 12 years are charged $50 SDF and child below 5 years are free. We will process your visa and sent you an electronic copy but you need to send us a clear digital copy of your passport with 6 months validity and a digital passport photo. Immigration will stamp visa on your passport upon arrival at Paro International Airport, so please bring a print out of visa with you.

Flights

There are only two airlines- Druk Air and Bhutan Airlines operating in and out of Bhutan. The sectors they operate includes Bangkok in Thailand, Delhi, Gauhati, Bagdogra, Kokata in India, Singapore, Kathmandu in Nepal and Dhaka in Bangladesh. There are daily flights in and out of Bangkok and Delhi. To board the airlines, a prior approved visa is a must and early booking of flights can help in securing seats.
